Everything you need to know about studying at Atlas ESL Training Center.
We welcome students at all proficiency levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Before enrollment, every student takes a free placement assessment that evaluates your reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities. Based on the results, our academic advisors will recommend the program and level that best matches your current skills and goals. There are no minimum requirements to get started.
Course duration varies by program. Our General ESL and Business English courses run for 12 weeks, Academic English runs for 16 weeks, TOEFL and IELTS Preparation programs are 10 weeks each, and the Academic Writing and Research course is 8 weeks. Each session includes multiple classes per week, and we offer rolling enrollment so you can start at the beginning of any month.
Yes, we offer a hybrid learning model. Students can attend classes in person at our campus or join live online sessions via our virtual classroom platform. Both formats provide the same curriculum, instructor interaction, and access to learning materials. Some students choose to mix in-person and online sessions depending on their weekly schedule. All online classes are live and interactive, not pre-recorded.
We maintain small class sizes of 8 to 12 students maximum. This allows our instructors to provide individualized attention, give detailed feedback on assignments, and ensure every student has ample opportunity to participate in discussions and practice activities. Research consistently shows that smaller class sizes lead to better outcomes in language learning, and we are committed to maintaining this standard.
Academic integrity is a core value at Atlas ESL. We use a combination of in-class writing assessments, proctored exams, and originality-checking tools to ensure all student work is authentic. Our instructors teach proper citation practices and academic honesty standards as part of the curriculum. We also provide workshops on avoiding plagiarism and understanding U.S. academic expectations, which are essential skills for students planning to attend American universities.
Yes, our administrative team provides guidance on registering for both the TOEFL iBT and IELTS exams. We help students find available test dates and locations in the local area, walk them through the online registration process, and advise on timing so they are fully prepared before their exam date. We also offer advice on score reporting to universities and immigration offices.
All course materials are included in the tuition fee. This covers textbooks, workbooks, practice tests, digital learning resources, and access to our online student portal where you can review lessons, track your progress, and access supplemental exercises. For TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses, this also includes access to official practice test materials and our library of exam-preparation resources.
Yes, we understand that your goals may evolve as you progress. If you want to switch from one program to another, simply speak with your instructor or academic advisor. We will evaluate your current level and transition you to the new program at an appropriate starting point. Program switches can be made at the end of any module, and any remaining tuition will be applied to your new program. There is no additional fee for switching.
